Poppy Cotterell is a qualified psychotherapist offering face-to-face therapy to individuals on a short term and longer term basis. She has practised in a variety of settings including the NHS, various counselling charities, The School of Life, and in private practice. She is a registered member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP), the UK Council for Psychotherapists (UKCP) and a member of the Metanoia Institute.
Before training as a psychotherapist, Poppy worked in the arts and charitable sectors, and it was her work for charities that first ignited her interest in becoming a therapist. Also trained as a yoga teacher, she is interested in a more embodied approach to therapy and when agreed, integrates breath work, visualisation and meditation into her therapy sessions.
Poppy is passionate about psychotherapy and believes it assists clients in better knowing who they are, what they need, and what they can do to bring about change.
